Human Design for a Team of 6 or More

For a group of more than five people, the calculator combines the charts of all members and shows the mix of types, who covers the 12 team functions, which large-group (WA) channels are present, who has the management gates and how to split the group into working Pentas of 3–5 people.

Group

You need six to sixteen people: the “Add a member” button opens the next one. Empty entries are not counted. If the time is unknown, clear the field and the chart will be calculated for noon. Names are used only as labels.

What the Calculation Shows

  • Group makeup — how many Generators, Projectors, Manifestors and Reflectors there are and what that means for the workload.
  • 12 team functions — the same gates as in the Penta: who has which function and which ones nobody has.
  • Large-group channels — the six channels the system links to the mechanics of the WA: management and money, initiative, resources, care, connections and change.
  • Who can lead — who has the gates and channels of management and leadership.
  • The split into Pentas — how to divide the group into subgroups of 3–5 people so that each covers as many functions as possible.

How it is calculated

According to Ra Uru Hu’s teaching, three to five people form a Penta, while a group of more than five forms a different structure, which the system calls a WA. The full WA method (in the BG5 business branch it is called OC16) has not been published and is taught in closed training; open sources confirm only two of its channels, 21-45 and 25-51.

So what you get here is a simplified general calculation, not that method: the calculator combines the charts of all members, counts the 12 Penta functions and the six large-group channels, and suggests a split into Pentas. The split is the calculator’s suggestion, not a rule of the teaching.

An Honest Look at the Method

Human Design is a modern system that Ra Uru Hu described in 1987. Its rules are precisely defined and therefore calculable, but none of them has been tested as a way to describe a person or predict how relationships will turn out. We calculate by the system’s rules and write the interpretations as a description of what the system holds, not as knowledge about you. More on the system’s origins is on the Human Design page.

Frequently asked questions

Why six people or more?

For three to five people, the system has the Penta with its own rules, and there is a separate Penta calculator for business for it. For two people, there is business compatibility.

Is this an OC16 calculation?

No. OC16 is a closed method of the BG5 business branch, and its rules have not been published. This is our own simplified calculation based on the general rules of Human Design, and we call it exactly that.

Why no more than sixteen?

The form is designed for a work group or a department. If there are more people, calculate each unit separately: in large organizations, roles are divided up by group anyway.

Does the calculation work for a large family?

Yes: choose “Family” in the “Type of group” field, and the functions will be given family names.
