By Destiny Matrix

Destiny Matrix compatibility works out each partner's central arcana and the “pair arcana,” their sum reduced to fit within 22. The calculator above does this from both people's birth dates.

Calculation

How it's calculated

Four points are calculated for each date: the day, the month, the sum of the year's digits and the total of these three, each reduced to a number from 1 to 22. The fifth point, the center, is the sum of the first four.

The center is the person's “main arcana” in this method. The pair arcana is the sum of the two centers, reduced to fit within 22.

The full method includes the twenty points of the eight-pointed star, plus the money and relationship lines. The calculator implements the basic calculation, which is enough to compare two people.

Worked Example

February 14, 1988: day 14, month 2, year 1 + 9 + 8 + 8 = 26 → 8, total 14 + 2 + 8 = 24 → 6, center 14 + 2 + 8 + 6 = 30 → 3.

July 8, 1990: day 8, month 7, year 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, total 8 + 7 + 19 = 34 → 7, center 8 + 7 + 19 + 7 = 41 → 5.

Pair arcana: 3 + 5 = 8. The eighth arcana is Justice, so under this method the pair's theme is agreements and honesty.

What the result means

In this method, the pair arcana is read as the couple's shared task: what the two of them will have to work through together. The meanings of all the arcana are in the table of 22 arcana.

It's important to understand that this method gives no compatibility percentage at all, and that's actually a plus: instead of a number, you get a topic for conversation.

Table of Meanings

22 arcana with meanings: the same numbers as the Major Arcana of the Tarot, which the method links them to.

It's useful to read three pages: the first person's arcana, the second person's arcana and the pair arcana. The differences between them most often describe what the two of them argue about.

Frequently asked questions

How ancient is this method?

Not ancient at all. The Destiny Matrix was created by Natalia Ladini in 2006. The method uses the numbers of the Tarot arcana and numerological reduction, but it has nothing to do with Egyptian or any other ancient tradition, whatever the promotional descriptions may say.

Why do different sites give different points?

Because there are several versions of the method, and authors add their own points and lines.

Do I need my time of birth?

No, just the date.

Does it work?

The method has no verifiable predictive power, just like the other numerological systems on this site.
