Two lines: Heretic and Investigator

The line of the Personality Sun is the fifth, the Heretic. The person consciously senses that others see more in them than they show: people come to them with problems and expect a way out. According to the system, the fifth line lives in a field of projections, and these projections can be flattering as well as unfair.

The line of the Design Sun is the first, the Investigator. Unconsciously, they need a solid foundation: they accumulate knowledge and check facts, often without even noticing. Together the lines work like this: projection brings people with a problem, and research provides a solution that holds up to scrutiny. Without that foundation, according to the system, expectations quickly turn into disappointment and a blow to their reputation.

In life, relationships and work

• In life. It is believed to help a 5/1 to choose whose call to answer and to step aside in time once the task is done. Distance helps them protect their reputation and avoid becoming hostage to other people's expectations.
• In relationships. According to the system, a partner may fall in love with the image of a savior rather than the living person. Relationships are more stable when they are seen as they really are — with doubts and fatigue, not just ready answers.
• At work. The profile is described as the person for difficult situations: they are often called in to sort things out, propose a universal solution, bring order. What matters to them is preparation, clear terms and a clear end to the job.

Left Angle Cross

5/1 belongs to the Left Angle along with 5/2, 6/2 and 6/3; together they account for about 34% of people. According to the system, a Left Angle Cross is transpersonal karma: the path unfolds through encounters with particular people that change both sides. In a 5/1 projections lead to such encounters: people come to them with their expectations and problems. An example of such a cross in a chart is the “Left Angle Cross of Masks”: its theme comes from the gates of the Personality and Design Sun and Earth, while the profile only sets the angle. Harmonic lines

The system considers the line pairs 1–4, 2–5 and 3–6 harmonic. For a 5/1 these are the second line (the pair to the fifth) and the fourth (the pair to the first). The 2/4 profile has both at once, in the same order; we call it the mirror profile. Harmonic and shared lines are believed to ease mutual understanding, but they make a couple neither good nor bad.
