Meaning of Gate 46

A G Center gate tied to love of the body and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. It gives luck through full engagement; the trap is neglecting the body and its signals.

In the system, a gate is always at work if it is active in the chart — at the moment of birth (Personality) or about 88 days before it (Design). If the other gate of its channel is also active, the channel is defined, and the theme of the gate becomes part of the person’s consistent energy.

The Six Lines of Gate 46

Each gate is divided into six lines. The line shows how the gate's theme plays out in a particular person; in the chart it is written after the dot — for example, 46.4.

• Line 1: Starting Small. The first line rises from the very beginning, step by step, helped by the trust of those who have already appreciated its effort. Thorough immersion in the work is thought to bring it to the right place without haste.
• Line 2: Sincerity Without Ceremony. The second line succeeds not through formal perfection but through sincere engagement. In the system, others notice its efforts even when it considers its own contribution modest and unremarkable.
• Line 3: An Open Road. The third line sometimes comes across a path with no obstacles, and this makes it wary. It is thought useful for it to move ahead boldly and test everything through experience rather than look for a catch where there is none.
• Line 4: Invited to Its Place. The fourth line gets its place thanks to people who see its reliability and invite it where it is needed. In the system, luck comes to it through acquaintances when it gives itself fully to the work.
• Line 5: Step by Step. The fifth line rises gradually, and people expect confident growth from it. It is thought important for it not to skip stages: a consistent sequence of steps makes its success convincing to others.
• Line 6: Clarity on the Way Up. The sixth line knows that blindly striving upward easily leads into a dead end. In the system, its example is continuing on its way consciously, checking each step against its values and not just against the wish to climb higher.

Channels

Gate 46 is one half of a channel. A channel is defined when both of its gates are active — in one person or, in a couple, across two people.

• Channel 29-46 “Discovery” — the partner gate is 29 “Perseverance” in the Sacral Center. The channel gives the ability to immerse yourself fully in what you have agreed to and go through the experience to the end. Success is thought to come through staying true to a choice made from response.
