Kenaz
Kenaz is the sixth rune, sound “k.” Literally “torch” or “sore”; most often read as fire under control.
Upright Position
Clarity, skill, inspiration. Kenaz is not a wildfire but a controlled flame: craft, creativity, understanding how something is made. The rune promises results to those who have the skill and discovery to those who seek. It also means healing and a situation becoming clear.
Reversed Position
A fire gone out: loss of interest, a creative dead end, a lost skill. A reversed Kenaz can point to an ending — of a relationship, a project, a period — that makes room for what comes next.
In love and at work
In relationships, the upright rune means passion with understanding, interest in someone as a person; reversed, it means fading. At work — skill, learning a craft, a creative task, diagnosing a problem.
The rune’s advice
Rely on skill and work out how the matter is put together: clarity matters more than haste right now. If the fire has gone out, don’t force it back to life — make room for something new.
