Gebo
Gebo is the seventh rune, sound “g.” Literally “gift.” It is symmetrical and has no reversed position.
Meaning
Gift and exchange: what is given and received freely. Gebo describes balance in relationships — a partnership, a union, an agreement with no ulterior calculation behind it. The rune is favorable almost always, but it carries a condition: a gift creates a bond, and accepting it means entering into a relationship. Hence the warning about gifts that come with a price.
In love and at work
In relationships, Gebo is one of the best runes: mutual feelings, marriage, a partnership of equals. At work it means an agreement that benefits both sides and help offered with no hidden motive; the rune doesn’t suit a question about one-sided effort.
