Sowilo
Sowilo is the sixteenth rune, sound “s.” Literally “sun.” It is symmetrical and has no reversed position.
Meaning
Victory, clarity, vitality. Sowilo is the most favorable rune of the Futhark: it means light that wins without a fight, vigor, success, recognition. The rune doesn’t demand that you struggle to overcome anything; it says the goal is attainable and the path is visible. Its only warning is that the sun burns: too much strength and glory wears you out and blinds you.
In love and at work
In relationships, Sowilo means a happy, open time and clarity in your feelings. At work — success, recognition, a matter concluded in your favor. For the question “will it work out?” the answer is yes.
The rune’s advice
Act openly and don’t hide your intentions: the time is favorable. Just don’t burn out — save your strength and don’t let success go to your head.
