Ehwaz
Ehwaz is the nineteenth rune, sound “e.” Literally “horse” — a rider and horse as a pair acting in harmony.
Upright Position
Moving forward in agreement with another. Ehwaz means a change for the better, a move, a developing partnership: two people moving in the same direction, and it works. The rune emphasizes trust and coordination — without them, a horse won’t go under the saddle.
Reversed Position
A halt in movement, falling out of step, a partner pulling the other way. A reversed Ehwaz means a trip better postponed, or a collaboration in which there is no longer any agreement.
In love and at work
In relationships, the upright rune means a couple moving forward together — one of the best runes for a question about a shared future. At work — partnership, relocation, a change of position, teamwork.
The rune’s advice
Move together with those you trust, and agree on the direction. If there is no agreement, it is better to wait than to pull in different directions.
