The High Priestess
The second arcanum is The High Priestess. A card of knowledge that is not brought out into the open: silence, intuition, hidden circumstances.
Upright Position
There is something in the situation you cannot see yet: things left unsaid, someone else's secret, your own instinct that you are ignoring. The Priestess advises you not to act but to watch and listen to yourself. In questions about people, she often points to a reserved person who knows more than they say.
Reversed Position
Secrets come out, and not always at the right time. Another reading is being cut off from your instincts: a person makes decisions with their head despite obvious inner resistance. Sometimes gossip and leaked information.
In love and at work
In love: feelings nobody talks about, or a relationship hidden from others. At work: a period of gathering knowledge, study, research. A bad card for publicity and sales, a good one for preparation.
The card's advice
Do not rush. You have less information than you need to decide, and some of it will come not from outside but from within.
