The Magician
The first arcanum is The Magician. The card of will and possibility: everything you need is already on the table; it only takes someone to get to work.
Upright Position
The moment when an idea can be turned into action. The person has the skill, the resources and the right to act — all that is missing is the decision to begin. The Magician speaks of influence and persuasiveness, of circumstances being pliable. For questions about new ventures it is one of the best cards in the deck.
Reversed Position
The abilities are there, but they find no use: talk instead of action, promises without follow-through. A second reading is manipulation: the same gift of persuasion aimed at deceit. Next to Swords it often points to someone who deftly twists the facts.
In love and at work
In love — active courtship, taking the initiative, sometimes playing games. In career — a good time to start a project, give a presentation, strike a deal. For money the card is favorable if it is about earning with your own hands rather than passive income.
The card's advice
You have everything you need. The question is not resources but whether you will start today.
