Uruz
Uruz is the second rune, sound “u.” Literally “aurochs”: a wild, untamed force that existed before humankind.
Upright Position
Health, stamina, physical and vital power. Uruz says you will have enough strength and suggests taking on what you had turned down as too much to handle. It often points to a sharp change for the better that comes through effort rather than luck: a turning point, overcoming something, recovering from illness.
Reversed Position
Weakness, low energy, wasting your strength on nothing. A reversed Uruz can also mean the opposite — strength aimed the wrong way: aggression, rudeness, charging ahead where precision is needed.
In love and at work
In relationships, the upright rune means passion and physical attraction; reversed, exhaustion, irritability, loss of interest. At work — a hard but manageable task; for a question about your own reserves, Uruz is the key rune.
The rune’s advice
Take on something difficult: you have enough strength right now. But channel it into the work rather than into pushing — where precision is needed, brute force does harm.
