Dagaz
Dagaz is the twenty-third rune, sound “d.” Literally “day.” It is symmetrical and has no reversed position.
Meaning
Dawn, a turning point, a breakthrough. Dagaz means a qualitative change — the moment when light breaks and the whole situation becomes visible. It is one of the most favorable runes: it speaks of the end of a dark period and of a transition that happens quickly and irreversibly. The classic caveat: the turn can be abrupt, and you’ll have to get used to the new state of things.
In love and at work
In relationships, Dagaz means clarity, an honest conversation, the start of a new stage. At work — a breakthrough, a solution that has been found, a lucky turn; a good rune for a launch and for getting out of a dead end.
The rune’s advice
Don’t cling to the old: the turning point has already begun. Act while the situation is clearly visible, and give yourself time to get used to the new.
