Tower
The sixteenth arcanum is The Tower. The card of sudden collapse: what was built crooked falls apart all at once.
Upright Position
Crisis, a break, an unexpected event that changes everything. The card is heavy, but in its logic only what is false gets destroyed. After The Tower things usually get easier, even though it doesn't feel that way at the moment of impact.
Reversed Position
The collapse is drawn out or postponed: a person feels everything cracking but is still holding on. Sometimes it is a crisis that was avoided while its cause remained.
In love and at work
In love — a breakup, a quarrel, a truth that comes out. In career — being laid off, a project collapsing, sudden changes. Money: a loss or a large unplanned expense.
The card's advice
Don't hold on to what is falling. Clearing the rubble will be easier than standing under it.
