Nine of Wands
Nine of Wands — a wounded fighter holding a staff: tired, but not leaving.
Upright Position
Vigilance, endurance at the last line of defense, readiness for another blow. Almost there — only the last stretch is left.
Reversed Position
Strength is exhausted, the defense has collapsed, paranoia instead of caution. Sometimes — stubbornness where it is time to retreat.
In love and at work
In love — distrust after past wounds. In career — a final push on your last reserves.
Suit
Wands are the suit of Fire: undertakings, plans, movement, work on your own projects. The Nine is a number card: it describes a situation, not a person.
The card's advice
Only the last stretch remains, so push through it. Caution is useful, but don't take everyone for an opponent.
