35
Hexagram 35, Jin: “Progress,” “Sunrise.” Upward movement that everyone can see.
The image of the hexagram
Below is the Kun trigram (earth), above is Li (fire). Fire over earth: the sun has risen above the horizon — an image of clear advancement.
General meaning
The answer is favorable. Jin describes growth that comes easily and quickly: recognition, promotion, expansion. The classic text speaks of a generous patron — advancement often comes not only through your own efforts but through someone’s goodwill, and accepting that support is the right thing here.
In love and at work
In relationships: an open, growing closeness, meeting the family, stepping out of the shadows. At work: an appointment, rising income, a successful market launch. The hexagram does not suit cautious waiting: the moment will slip away.
What to do
Move forward and ask directly for what you need. Right now, whoever asks will hear “yes.”
