Eight of Swords
The Eight of Swords: a bound figure among swords, but the bonds are loose and the blindfold was put on willingly.
Upright Position
A feeling of being trapped, helplessness, self-imposed limits. There is a way out, but the person does not see it.
Reversed Position
Release, the blindfold removed, admitting that you were holding yourself back. Sometimes a deeper slide into victimhood.
In love and at work
In love: a relationship that seems impossible to leave. At work: being stuck in a job you dislike.
Suit
Swords are the suit of Air: thoughts, words, conflicts, decisions. The Eight is a number card: it describes a situation, not a person.
The card's advice
Check whether the bonds are really as tight as they seem. There is a way out, and the first step toward it is admitting that you are the one holding yourself back.
