Card 8, the Coffin — endings, loss, illness. It corresponds to the Nine of Diamonds.
Core Meaning
The heaviest card in the deck, but it should not be read literally: in the vast majority of spreads the Coffin means an ending, not death. The end of a stage, a breakup, low energy, illness, depression. Sometimes transformation: what has ended makes room for something else.

Coffin and Heart — the end of a relationship; Coffin and Fish — financial loss; Coffin and Lilies — a long recovery or a peaceful ending.
In love and at work
In love — a breakup, feelings coming to an end, a hard period. At work — a project shutting down, a dismissal, losses. In terms of timing the card means “already over” or an ending very soon.
