2
Hexagram 2, Kun — “The Receptive,” “Earth.” The complete opposite of the first: not a single yang line, only receptive force.
The image of the hexagram
The hexagram is made of two identical Kun trigrams (earth). Six broken lines — pure yielding, a field that receives and nurtures.
General meaning
The answer is favorable for someone willing to be second. Kun describes a situation where the winner is not the initiator but the one who supports, carries through, and brings someone else's plan to completion. The classical image is the mare: she has strength, but she follows the rider. If the question was whether to take the lead, the answer is more likely no.
In love and at work
In relationships — loyalty, patience, readiness to accept your partner as they are; for a couple, a calm sign. At work — execution, support, the back office, administration: everything here will work out. For launching your own project or for confrontation, the hexagram is unsuitable.
What to do
Don't pull things toward yourself. Do your part thoroughly — in this situation, that is exactly what's valued.
