5–5
Domino 5–5 is the double of a change of place.
Interpretation
A move, a change of home or job that will go well. The tile is favorable and refers specifically to a change in outward circumstances, not to an inner state. Some handbooks add that the new place will be better than the old one.
In love and at work
In love — moving in together, starting a shared household, sometimes a relationship in a new place. At work — a change of position or company for the better. To the question “should I make the change” — yes.
The tile in the set
Total pips: 10. This is a “double”: there are seven of them among the twenty-eight tiles in a set, and tradition considers them stronger than the rest — the meaning is read without softening. The chance of drawing this particular tile in a single draw is 1 in 28, about 3.6%.
