4–4
Domino 4–4 is the double of celebration and shared joy.
Interpretation
Merriment among people: a party, a get-together, a lively event. The tile is favorable and markedly social — joy comes through other people, not in solitude. It often foretells an invitation.
In love and at work
In love — meeting someone through friends, a pleasant shared event. At work — a successful event, a company function, a good atmosphere on the team. For a question about a private matter, the tile says little.
The tile in the set
Total pips: 8. This is a “double”: there are seven of them among the twenty-eight tiles in a set, and tradition considers them stronger than the rest — the meaning is read without softening. The chance of drawing this particular tile in a single draw is 1 in 28, about 3.6%.
