Wolf in Wax Reading
Courage or a strong opponent. This is an ambiguous sign: its meaning is decided by its place and the neighboring shapes.
Core Meaning
The wolf is an ambiguous sign. In the Turkish tradition it means courage and luck (the wolf is an ancient totem of the Turkic peoples); in the Russian tradition, a strong opponent or danger. Its surroundings decide: next to light shapes it is your own courage, next to heavy ones, an enemy.
In Love and Business
In love. A strong but jealous passion; a rival.
In business and money. Fierce competition; whoever acts decisively will win.
What It Looks Like in Wax
- Large shape: the theme will become important in the near future; whether for good or ill, the neighboring shapes will tell.
- Small shape: a secondary matter or a brief episode.
- In the shadow on the wall: something still hidden that will come out later.
- Clarity: clear outlines are a sure sign; blurred ones mean the event may still change. If the wax set in fragments, each fragment is read as a separate shape.
In Combinations
This shape has no established traditional pairs: it's read by its place in the wax and by the mood of the neighboring signs. Next to light shapes its meaning softens; next to heavy ones it becomes sterner.
