Scissors in Wax Reading
A quarrel and a break. This is a heavy sign — a warning, not a verdict: its place and the neighboring shapes will show how serious it is.
Core Meaning
Scissors mean a quarrel, discord and parting. Something will be cut — a relationship, a contract, a connection. Open scissors mean an argument; closed ones mean the decision has already been made.
In Love and Business
In love. A quarrel, a breakup or a parting.
In business and money. A broken agreement, layoffs.
What It Looks Like in Wax
- Large shape: a serious warning, worth taking to heart.
- Small shape: a minor nuisance that is easy to avoid.
- In the shadow on the wall: a hidden worry or ill will you don't know about yet; if the signs in the wax itself are light, all looks well on the outside, but something is left unsaid.
- Clarity: clear outlines are a sure sign; blurred ones mean the event may still change. If the wax set in fragments, each fragment is read as a separate shape.
In Combinations
Scissors and Ring — a broken engagement or contract; a union threatened by a quarrel.
Scissors and Heart — a breakup, or a quarrel that will drive you apart.
