Fox
Card 14, the Fox — deception, calculation and work. It corresponds to the Nine of Clubs.
Core Meaning
The Fox means cunning and self-interest: deception, half-truths, using another person. Its second, older meaning is work and employment — the way a person earns a living. It is a warning card: it advises you to check who benefits from the situation.
In Combinations
Fox and Fish — financial fraud; Fox and Heart — insincere feelings; Fox and Book — information being concealed.
In love and at work
In love — insincerity, a double game, a relationship based on calculation. At work — an unreliable partner, an error in a contract, a crafty scheme; or simply your job as a source of income. Timing — this is a card of caution, not of timing.
