Spiral in Coffee Grounds
Development and repetition. This is an ambiguous sign: its meaning is decided by its place and the neighboring shapes.
Core Meaning
A spiral means development in cycles: an old situation will repeat itself on a new level. Coiling inward, it means withdrawing into yourself; outward, growth.
In Love and Business
In love. Going back to a past relationship.
In business and money. Gradual development, a creative process.
Where It Lies in the Cup
- Near the handle: the sign concerns you yourself: how it turns out depends largely on you.
- Opposite the handle: this will come from outside; whether for good or ill, the neighboring shapes will tell.
- To the right or left of the handle: on the right, the sign is gaining strength; on the left, its influence is fading.
- At the rim and on the sides: at the rim, within the coming days and weeks; on the sides, within the coming months.
- On the bottom: what has already taken shape and lies at the foundation of the situation, or the distant future.
- Clarity: a clear, large shape is a sure and important sign; a blurry one means the event may still pass you by. Dots around a shape link its meaning to money.
In Combinations
This shape has no established traditional pairs: it's read by its place in the cup and by the mood of the neighboring signs. Next to light shapes its meaning softens; next to heavy ones it becomes sterner.
