Hat in Wax Reading
A new position. This is a light sign: it promises good things and softens heavy shapes nearby.
Core Meaning
A hat means an improved position, a new post or a new role. In the Western tradition, it means success and honor. Sometimes it means a rival, if the hat sits on someone else's figure.
In Love and Business
In love. A new look, an admirer.
In business and money. A new appointment, a promotion.
What It Looks Like in Wax
- Large shape: the main theme of the near future, and at Yuletide, of the coming year: a new position.
- Small shape: the same meaning on a small scale: a pleasant episode, a bit of luck.
- In the shadow on the wall: the sign is still hidden: it will come later, or it already lives in feelings and intentions.
- Clarity: clear outlines are a sure sign; blurred ones mean the event may still change. If the wax set in fragments, each fragment is read as a separate shape.
In Combinations
This shape has no established traditional pairs: it's read by its place in the wax and by the mood of the neighboring signs. Next to light shapes its meaning softens; next to heavy ones it becomes sterner.
