Butterfly in Wax Reading
Lightness and pleasure. This is a light sign: it promises good things and softens heavy shapes nearby.
Core Meaning
A butterfly means lightness, joy and pleasure. Pleasant meetings lie ahead, but don't expect them to last: this is a time for joy, not for serious commitments.
In Love and Business
In love. A light romance, flirting, a pleasant new acquaintance.
In business and money. An enjoyable but not very profitable undertaking.
What It Looks Like in Wax
- Large shape: the main theme of the near future, and at Yuletide, of the coming year: lightness and pleasures.
- Small shape: the same meaning on a small scale: a pleasant episode, a bit of luck.
- In the shadow on the wall: the sign is still hidden: it will come later, or it already lives in feelings and intentions.
- Clarity: clear outlines are a sure sign; blurred ones mean the event may still change. If the wax set in fragments, each fragment is read as a separate shape.
In Combinations
This shape has no established traditional pairs: it's read by its place in the wax and by the mood of the neighboring signs. Next to light shapes its meaning softens; next to heavy ones it becomes sterner.
