Three of Swords
The Three of Swords: a heart pierced by three swords, the most recognizable card of pain in the deck.
Upright Position
A breakup, betrayal, a painful truth. The card does not soften it: it will hurt, but it will clear the air.
Reversed Position
Healing, coming out of pain, or, on the contrary, getting stuck in it. Sometimes a wound nobody talks about.
In love and at work
In love: infidelity, a breakup, a hard conversation. At work: a loss, a layoff, shattered expectations.
Suit
Swords are the suit of Air: thoughts, words, conflicts, decisions. The Three is a number card: it describes a situation, not a person.

Admit that it hurts, and don't pretend everything is fine. The truth, whatever it is, clears the air.
