Core Meaning
The last card in the deck means a burden: something you have to carry. A trial, a duty, suffering, and in some schools faith and destiny. The Cross does not mean an ending; it means a load that has to be carried to the end, and it often points to inevitability.

In love — a hard period, a sense of duty, a relationship kept going by force of will. At work — responsibility, a heavy workload, obligations. Timing — until the end, until it is over.
