Acquisitio
Acquisitio (Gain) — Air and Earth are active. It stands for receiving, income, and profit.
Structure of the figure
Latin name: Acquisitio. Traditional ruler: Jupiter.
| Line | Points | Element of the line |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | two | Fire |
| 2 | one | Air |
| 3 | two | Water |
| 4 | one | Earth |
Active (single-point) lines: 2 of 4. The more there are, the more mobile the figure: a single point means an active element, a double point a resting one.
Meaning
One of the best figures for material questions: it directly means “you will get it.” Acquisitio describes something coming in from outside — money, property, a job, the thing you were looking for.
It is the opposite of Amissio, and in the shield these two figures side by side mean turnover: it came and it went. On its own the figure is stable and accumulative.
In questions about love and money
In love — finding a partner, recognition, returned feelings. In money — the chief favorable figure: profit, a payment, a purchase, a debt repaid. Timing — definite; the matter will end with something coming in.
