1–2
The 1–2 tile: a loss of property and a new friendship in its place.
Interpretation
A two-sided tile: on the one hand, a loss of money or of some possession; on the other, a new acquaintance who will prove more important than the loss. The tradition reads this as an exchange: the material for the human.
In love and at work
In love: losing interest in one person and someone else appearing. At work: a loss, but also a useful new contact. To a question about money, the answer is negative.
The tile in the set
Pip total: 3. An ordinary tile with different halves; there are twenty-one such tiles out of twenty-eight in a set. The chance of drawing this particular tile in a single draw is 1 in 28, about 3.6%.
