The twelfth arcana is the Hanged Man. The theme of pause and a different perspective: stopping and seeing things another way.
The resource side
The ability to wait, to shift one's point of view, to give up the momentary for the sake of what matters. In its resource state it brings depth and a capacity for genuine compassion.
The shadow side
Self-sacrifice and getting stuck: a pause that lasts for years, giving up one's own for others' sake without being asked and with resentment. Add to that a feeling of being suspended in every area of life.
