Cell 9
The ninth cell is memory and intellect: the ability to retain and process information.
What the count means
Empty — a selective memory; the person remembers what struck a chord. One 9 — the usual level, with a need for repetition. Two — a good memory, the most common case. Three or more — a tenacious memory and a quick mind, sometimes at the expense of patience with slower thinkers.
What to watch for
This cell depends heavily on the year of birth: any year from 1900 to 1999 gives at least one nine (1949 or the years of the 1990s give two or more), while people born in 2000 or later get no nines from the year. That is why younger generations usually have fewer nines, for purely arithmetical reasons, and this is worth keeping in mind when comparing generations.
