Directions
| Type | Direction | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Sheng Qi | SW | Work, income |
| Tian Yi | NW | Health |
| Yan Nian | W | Relationships |
| Fu Wei | NE | Calm, study |
South, north, east and southeast are unfavorable; southeast is considered the worst for an 8.
How to apply it at home
Gen is the trigram of the mountain, of stillness and accumulation. A calm northeast area used as a study or a place to learn suits an 8. Place the desk facing southwest and the bed with the headboard to the northwest or northeast.
Eight is the only Kua number that matches the number of the star that governed wealth until 2024. The coincidence is accidental and the two shouldn't be confused: Kua is calculated for a person, the star for a building.
What to keep in mind
In standard apartments the northeast is often where the entrance is. For an 8 that's rather a good thing: Fu Wei at the entrance is traditionally associated with a sense of stability in the home.
