Directions
| Type | Direction | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Sheng Qi | W | Work, income |
| Tian Yi | NE | Health |
| Yan Nian | SW | Relationships |
| Fu Wei | NW | Calm |
Southeast, east, north and south are unfavorable; south is considered the worst for a 6, because fire melts metal.
How to apply it at home
Qian is the trigram of the head of the family and the leader, and in the tradition the northwest area is set aside for a study or for the person who makes the decisions. Place the workspace facing west and the bed with the headboard to the northeast or northwest.
Metal is helped by earth and harmed by fire: according to the tradition, a bright red area in the south weakens a 6 more than anyone else.
What to keep in mind
In the classics, the northwest is called the "palace of the father." If this area of the apartment is taken up by a bathroom or a storage room, a 6 is advised to keep it especially tidy — one of the school's most consistent recommendations.
