Kua 7
Kua 7 is the Dui trigram, the Metal element, west. West group. The direction for work is northwest; for health, southwest.
Directions
| Type | Direction | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Sheng Qi | NW | Work, income |
| Tian Yi | SW | Health |
| Yan Nian | NE | Relationships |
| Fu Wei | W | Calm |
North, south, southeast and east are unfavorable; east is the worst direction for a 7.
How to apply it at home
Dui is associated with communication, speech and pleasure, so for a 7 the western area is set aside for the living room or a place where guests gather. Place the desk facing northwest and the bed with the headboard to the southwest or west.
Earth nourishes metal: ceramics, stone and ochre tones in the western area are traditionally considered supportive for a 7.
What to keep in mind
A 7 and a 6 are both Metal and both in the West group, but their best directions mirror each other: what is Sheng Qi for one is Fu Wei for the other. For a couple, this is solved by giving each their own workspace.
