Star 8
Star 8, White Earth, Zuo Fu. The wealth star of Period 8. From 2004 to 2023 it was the main prosperous star; since 2024 it's been considered retreating, but it keeps some of its strength.
What the star means
The 8 is linked with accumulation, real estate and steady income. It's precisely because of its twenty-year period that the number 8 became almost a synonym for money in Russian feng shui — although since 2024 that role has passed to the 9.
In the tradition, a retreating star isn't considered harmful: its strength fades gradually, and in the first years of a new period the 8 still works.
When it's favorable
In the facing palace and in the living room. The 8 and 9 pairing is considered good for money: earth and fire together reinforce each other in the right direction.
How to activate it
With earth and fire: ceramics, stone, crystal, ochre tones, lamps. The classic remedy is something heavy and stable in this palace.
What to avoid
Overloading it with wood: wood drains earth. The tradition advises against lots of large plants in this palace.
