Kua 3
Kua 3 is the Zhen trigram, the Wood element, east. East group. The direction for work is south; for health, north.
Directions
| Type | Direction | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Sheng Qi | S | Work, advancement |
| Tian Yi | N | Health |
| Yan Nian | SE | Relationships |
| Fu Wei | E | Calm |
Southwest, northwest, northeast and west are unfavorable; west is considered the worst for a 3.
How to apply it at home
A workspace facing south suits a 3: it's the direction of recognition and advancement, and for Wood, which feeds Fire, it's considered natural. Place the bed with the headboard to the north or east.
Metal chops wood, so the tradition advises avoiding large metal structures in the eastern area: massive shelving units, iron headboards, a whole wall of appliances.
What to keep in mind
A 3 is a sign of movement and quick decisions. More often than others, it's advised to keep the eastern area clear: in the tradition, a cluttered passage there reads as a blocked start.
