Star 4
Star 4, Green Wood, Wen Qu. The star of study and romance: exams, writing, creativity, new acquaintances.
What the star means
The 4 is linked with intellectual work and with falling in love at the same time. A desk is traditionally placed in the palace with the 4: it's believed that anything requiring concentration goes better there.
The 1 and 4 pairing is the classic study combination, sought for a child's room or a study.
When it's favorable
For study, almost always. For relationships, with a caveat: the 4 has a reputation as a star of inconstancy, and overactivating it in the bedroom is associated with romantic complications.
How to activate it
With water and wood: a small aquarium, live plants, books, anything to do with writing and study. Four bamboo stalks in a vase are the classic remedy for this star.
What to avoid
Overloading it with metal: metal chops wood. The tradition considers large metal structures in this palace weakening.
